Place Value Fun!

We have been working really hard on place value in Maths this term. Here are some photos of our efforts!

Hard work in James and Cedrick's group!

Cedrick and James are using the place value blocks and rods. First they have to build a skyscraper. Once it is finished they count the levels and figure out what their skyscraper is worth. One rod is worth 10, one square is worth 100. There is even a block worth 1000!

Ryan and Caleb are working so well independently!

Caleb and Ryan are playing Number Hangman on the board. They are practicing how to say big numbers using their knowledge of place value houses. Number Hangman is a great game to play on rainy days during the holidays!

Check back again soon for more posts about what we have been doing!

Love from Room 10 and Miss Park
